Paul Cobbing CEnv Awarded an MBE in New Year Honours

Chartered Environmentalist, Paul Cobbing, has been awarded an MBE in the 2018 New Year Honours.
It was announced on the 30th December 2017 that Chief Executive Officer of the National Flood Forum, Paul Cobbing CEnv, has been recognised with an MBE for services to flood management risk.
The New Year Honours List for 2018 recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom. In total 1,123 people have received an award.
Paul, pictured above speaking at Flood Expo 2017, is Chief Executive of the National Flood Forum, a national charity that supports and represents flood risk people and communities. It helps people to prepare for flooding and supporting them to recover their lives when they have been flooded. The National Flood Forum also works with government and other organisations to put flood risk communities at the heart of policy making and operational delivery.
Paul was the Independent Chair of the Calderdale Flood Commission following the floods of 2015. He is a member of the West Midlands section of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, a Director at Localise West Midlands a member of Forestry and Woodlands Advisory Committee for the West Midlands and on the Board of the Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership.
